Sellers know the same brass heads turn up on three sites at three prices. This one is cut from the file you send: your logo, your monogram, your initials, your own drawing. Nobody else's order carries it, and we do not resell your artwork or fit it to anyone else's stamp.
Solid brass, because a light die will not sink
A thin, plated head has to be forced into the wax and still leaves a shallow print. This die is solid brass, engraved rather than pressed, so it sinks under its own weight and holds the detail in the crevices where wax grips.
We thin the lines that will not engrave — before we cut
Almost every disappointing custom seal is a hairline or a caption that filled in. Send what you have and we lay it out at true size against the die you picked: lines from 1 pt, text from 8 pt. If something will not hold, we redraw it thicker and show you both, while it can still change.
Made for boxes and tags, not only invitations
Most wax seal pages are written for wedding stationery. This one is for the twine knot on a kraft parcel, the hang tag, the flap of a thank-you envelope that goes inside the box. One seal, and there is nothing extra for your customer to throw away.

FAQs - wax seal stamps
Yes. Two or three initials is the most common order, and you do not need a designer for it. Tell us the letters and roughly the look you want and we set them for you, at no extra cost, in the proof. If you already have a monogram file, send that instead.
That is the one thing that goes wrong with custom seals, so we check it before cutting rather than after. Lines want to be at least 1 pt and text at least 8 pt at the die size you choose. If your file is finer than that, we thicken the strokes or simplify the detail and send you both versions in the proof — you decide which to cut.
30 mm suits most logos and monograms. Go to 25 mm only for one or two plain initials, and up to 35, 40, 45 or 50 mm if your design has a ring of text, a crest or fine illustration. The die size is the brass face; the finished wax seal spreads slightly wider than that.
No. Send it reading the right way round. The die is engraved in reverse so the wax comes out correct, and the proof shows you the seal as it will look, not the die.
Yes — solid brass, engraved, with no plated coating to wear through. Brass darkens a little with handling and age; that patina does not affect the impression, and a brass or jewelry cleaner brings the shine back if you want it.
Nearly always because it was lifted too early or the die was too hot. Let the wax cool from glossy to just tacky, set the stamp on top and let its weight sink it in rather than pressing, then wait about 10 to 20 seconds before lifting straight up. If you are doing a run, park the die on something cold between seals. A card with these steps goes in the box.

Yes, and that is what we designed this around. Wax takes well on kraft, cotton card, hang tags and paper over a twine knot. It needs a firm surface underneath, so seal a flat box panel or a tag before assembly rather than pressing on a soft mailer.
You can, but be straight with yourself about the risk. In the US a raised seal on an outer envelope makes the piece non-machinable: it is hand-sorted, carries a surcharge, and some seals still get sheared off by the sorting machines. The two things senders do instead are to seal the inner envelope, belly band or card and let a plain outer envelope go through the machines, or to put the sealed envelope inside a larger one. We will not tell you it always survives, because it does not.

Before you approve the proof, yes — change anything, or cancel. After that the die is cut for your artwork and cannot be used for anyone else, so a custom stamp is not returnable. If it arrives damaged or is not the proof you approved, send your order number and a photo and we will sort it out.
